HOUSING COMITTEE
Objectives

  • Consolidate strategies through the collection of information on projects, technologies, and experiences developed by FICEM-APCAC partners.

  • Comprise a project bank showing technical, financial, and management housing experiences that uses techniques rich in cement .

  • Identify solutions to common problems for the penetration of cement technologies

  • Open the housing panorama and its experiences, by holding events and meetings.
Funtions

  • Train, in coordinate manner, the member countries with the aim of matching the competence criteria that will allow to generate a strong support with technical backing to the cement proposals.

  • Participate in international discussion activities in order to maintain itself at the forefront of knowledge regarding worldwide experiences and latest techniques so they can be proposed in future developments.

  • Seek a relationship between FICEM -APCAC Mmembers and other entities of interest that allows to keep them updated in matters regarding management and techniques

ROADS COMITTEE
Objectives
  • Promote the use of concrete pavements in the Latin-American road infrastructure projects.
  • Exchange cooperation of the Development Institutions.
  • Obtain state of the art concrete pavements statistics.
  • Promote information exchange among the FICEM-APCAC countries.
Functions
  • Collect local experiences. Maintain its register periodically updated.
  • Work actively in promoting the image of pavement and techniques using concrete.
  • Make better known and promote actively the use of appropriate design and evaluation tools in order to improve the way of defining the behavior and efficient construction equipment and machinery to execute projects in alternatives using cement.
  • Train, in coordinate manner, the member countries with the aim of matching the competence criteria that will allow to generate a strong support, with technical backing, to the cement proposals.
  • Participate in international discussion activities in order to maintain itself at the forefront of knowledge regarding worldwide experiences and the latest techniques so they can be proposed in future developments.
  • Seek a relationship between FICEM-APCAC and PIARC (or other entities of interest) that allows to keep them updated in matters relevant to the development of pavement techniques

EDUCATION COMITTEE
Objectives

  • Be the entity in charge of generating and spreading knowledge and experiences among its associates and similar organizations.

  • Impel cement and concrete technological knowledge, as well as the updating of those who design, construct, or manufacture concrete products and elements.

Functions

  • Develop a cement and concrete technical knowledge basic platform.

  • Share the FICEM-APCAC countries' training and teaching programs so there is a teachers and assistants exchange from one country to another, obviously if the themes and relevance of the courses justify it

  • Consolidate a "virtual" distance education system, with the implementation of small technical and practical application topics which can be developed and promoted through Internet.

  • Create a database of experts in the FICEM-APCAC key themes with the aim of having the possibility of exchanging the knowledge acquired by them.

CONCRETE PRODUCTS COMITTEE
Objectives

  • Develop research programs for the correct administration of concrete products and improve construction's competitiveness

  • Develop research programs of new concrete products.

  • Improve the concrete products' competitiveness in order to confront the access of substitute products, by means of research programs.

  • Support the concrete solutions or products' sustainability, keeping equilibrium among the social, economical, and technological areas, mitigating the environmental impact and improving the quality of life.

  • Develop information spreading programs, which include training and facilitating access to the technical information.

Functions

  • Define two to three specific concrete products within the Committee to begin the activities.

  • Define basic alignments to be incorporated into the concrete products' technical norms; with the aim of helping the development or updating of the same in the different countries

     

  • Develop technical guidelines that show the good constructive practices, when using different concrete products.

  • Develop research projects to promote the concrete products, with new technologies for their manufacturing; as well as new products.
  • Develop research products, where sustainable construction aspects are considered, using concrete products.

  • Develop training and technology spreading programs.

INSTITUTES COMSSION
Objectives:

  • Seek the standardization of the constructive processes, spreading such technologies.

  • Share experiences. Exchange basic information about our institutions (Strategic approach, general data, structure, work programs, management reports, training programs,

  • Collect information regarding normalization of cement, concrete, and construction, as well as the different researches which have been developed.

  • Propose practical workshops that take the most advanced and efficient concepts, or the best proposals identified within the fields of work of the institutions, to a decisory level.

Functions

  • Define the management evaluation criteria of our entities. Study the Standardization – Normalization matters. Identify and spread the best promotional and constructive practices

  • Propose spreading schemes for our management. 

  • Propose new training and spreading schemes
